Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth. Sing to the Lord, praise his name; proclaim his salvation day after day.

4) Prayers of Praise- You are beautiful beyond description, too marvellous for words'. Sue S
(My reason for this choice is that when I have little doubts creeping in about my faith, as my human mind can't understand how great God is and it seems too wonderful to be true, I say the words to myself to help me to realise that I can't possibly understand everything and it by the grace of God that He has given me faith.)

9). James5:13-20; Hilary.
The Prayer of Faith- 13 Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. 14 Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. 16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
17 Elijah was a human being, even as we are. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. 18 Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops.
19 My brothers and sisters, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring that person back, 20 remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way will save them from death and cover over a multitude of sins.
10) Now thank we all our God. Rosa. (Colin intro-Response to restrictions lifting).
11) Reflection. Colin
-Prayer is the first, not the last resort for the Christian.
-It is for when we are happy and for when times are difficult.
-God moves through the prayer of faith.
-Asking for prayer, and receiving it is to be welcomed, not burdensome or “too much trouble”
-Our way of life, as Methodist Christians includes a commitment to “pray daily”.
-Prayers can be read from a book or as they cone from our minds.
-God promises to answer our prayers asked in faith as our lives back up our words. (The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective).
12) How Great Thou Art. Ken
13) Prayers for others. Colin.
14) He’s got the whole world in his hands- Roma
(It has been my favourite since I was about 4years old. It makes me feel and if I’m having a bad day, it makes me feel happy. It also reminds me of the CocaCola advert).
15) Because he lives. Margaret.(colin intro)
16) Shine Jesus Shine. Hilary. (Colin intro).
(Such a happy hymn both tuneful and meaningful)
17) Benediction. Colin.
